Back view which faces the bay |
As a treat to ourselves following a very busy work year of teaching we decided to spend a few days at the Digby Pines Resort in Digby Nova Scotia. We chose this resort because we had driven by it a number of times in the past and always wanted to stay here and we are glad that we had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful grounds and pleasant accommodation of this wonderful jewel of a hotel. The first two shots are of the front and rear of the resort.
We toured Digby itself and found the sights to be what we expected for a fishing town and we tried a few restaurants. The food was enjoyable everywhere we went.
The next shot is of a very unusually painted store, actually a Chinese restaurant called Wok by the Bay.

Lime green for a building colour - very unusual |

Muir Murray Vin-yard outside Wolfville |
We visited Bear river and had a chance to stop by Annapolis Valley
Vin-yards to sample a little wine and make a small purchase. On the way
back from Digby we stopped by a Wolfville winery called Muir Murray
where I took the last shot, though admittedly I used an in-camera art
filter to get the effect.
All shots taken with an Olympus EPL-2 with 45mm f/1.8
