Our little doggie is scratching the bumper of our new Subaru when we transport him to the kennel. We had to buy a plastic bumper guard to protect the bumper. We had one on our old vehicle and it worked like a charm. Of course our dog doesn't know the difference, but, what the heck.

Time to get the old girl on the Road After 30 years of neglect (well, not deliberate neglect) our 1982 Audi Coupe GT is finally seeing a variety of parts replaced. It did not pass safety. In fact, it failed miserably. The list is long; it needs a complete brake job, front and rear, bearings, ball joints, tie-rods, parts of the fuel delivery system attended to, and typical tune-up parts including rotor, plug wires, plugs and so on. About $1000 worth of parts purchased from a couple of online suppliers. And that might not be the end. No doubt something else will crop up. After all the repairs it will have to be re-safetied. Let's hope that it will pass. I had considered using it as a fall get-around car but I don't think that is going to happen. At least at this point in the season I don't have to worry about air conditioning which doesn't work anyway.

The light was strange on Saturday morning on the Halifax waterfront. I took a number of shots but most were either lightly overexposed or underexposed. I decided to take a shot that basically reflected the kind of day it was weather-wise but I added the "dramatic tone" filter in-camera to a shot of a pier near the DND base.
